14th July 2007 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: f3-5 Surf / Sea State: Fairly flat Air Temperature: 20 Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Arrived to find more wind than forecast so quickly rigged 6.2m and went out on the Max 2 Air. Ok in the gusts, but soon there were some big lulls and it was hard work on the 90 litre board. It was nice to be out on the more lively board though and probably much needed practice for if I ever get to the coast again. Then rigged 6.7 and went out on the Bic. Disappointing because there were a lot of lulls and I felt underpowered most of the time. I think I over-downhauled the sail thinking it was more windy than it was. Should have come in to adjust the sail, but too lazy. Lots of people out again and very pleasant in the sunshine. |
